"Hello Mele and Rich!
I just wanted to say how very wonderful it was to have you come to Homer, Alaska to do your 4-day workshop. I am a beginner player and I was able to "soak up" so much information. My head is still spinning from all the new strumming techniques and I will be working on the Hawaiian workbook/CD for months to come. Your expertise and patience went a long way with all the mult-levels of the workshop and only heard positive feedback from many of the participants. We actually were working on the waltz strum (I do believe you named it the chicken pluck pluck) at our Saturday practice with some of the members that could not make it to your workshop. I really also enjoyed watching you and Rich play together at the two performances. It made me smile. Also I loved watching you dance. As I told you, I am a retired dance teacher. Thanks once again and maybe someday I'll make it to Maui. All in all it was so much fun when we strum strum strum."

"It was a great time attending your workshop in Homer. Getting explanations about the strums was so helpful. I enjoy playing the ukulele, but sometimes I need a little help to get the rhythms of the strums. And playing along with you and Richard was a treat. My internet is very slow at my home, so I purchased your DVD kit for Nostalgic Hawaiian songs, now it is like having you in my living room with me. I like how you break down the songs, it simplifies what seems complicated. Then I am able to practice the parts I have difficulties with. Thank you for coming to Homer and spreading more aloha around the world. Hawaiian music reminds me to bring more aloha to my day, especially when we can all play together."
